Panel Fabrication

Custom control panels for one-off and short-run builds

Catalog enclosures don't always match the footprint, the process or the component list a plant runs on. WESA designs and builds the panel to the requirements you already have.

Designed around your constraints

Some machines have an odd footprint, tight cabinet space or a fixed mounting pattern. Others arrive with the components already specified, down to a particular PLC brand, a drive family and the device tags maintenance already knows. WESA designs the layout around those constraints and part numbers, on a single panel or a short production run.

A project can start from a rough sketch, a photo of the equipment or a full set of prints. Our engineers work from any of the three and send back a panel layout and a component list. When a design repeats, the build is documented so later panels match the first.

How a custom build comes together

What to expect between your requirements and a panel ready to install.

Requirements first
We confirm the footprint, environment, voltage and component list before any layout work starts.
Layout for service
Component spacing accounts for heat load and for access, so wiring, inspection and later maintenance are straightforward.
Your component standards
Panels are built around the PLC, drive and device brands already on your shelf.
Repeatable for OEMs
Recurring and short-run designs are documented, and repeat orders are built from that same documentation.
Machined in-house
Enclosure cutouts and modifications are done on our own floor, which keeps custom work off an outside shop's schedule.
Labeled and listed
Builds meet UL 508A or UL 698A, with the label applied in-house when the application calls for it.

Tell us about the machine

Send a sketch, prints or a photo of the equipment. We will come back with a panel layout and a lead time.
